Journeys

Routes we have already driven.

Each journey joins stays we know with the days between them: a driver throughout, experiences arranged privately, and room left to do nothing. Take one as it is, or let us redraw it for you.

A month, or the whole winter

Why some guests stay a month.

The longer the stay, the more the coast gives back: staff who learn how you like things, a driver who becomes a friend, and days with nothing in them at all.

A month on the coast
  1. 01

    The winter, somewhere warm

From December to April the coast is dry, the sea is calm and the days are long. Many guests come for the whole of it.

  2. 02

    Ayurveda takes time

A real programme runs two to four weeks. It works best in a villa with a cook who follows the doctor's notes.

  3. 03

    Work from a verandah

Fast connections, a desk with a view, staff who keep the day running, and Europe's morning in the Sri Lankan afternoon.

  4. 04

    The surf season

November to April on this coast. Some come for a lesson; others stay until they are good.

  5. 05

    A family sabbatical

A term away for the children, with villas that welcome them and teachers or tutors arranged nearby.

  6. 06

    Three homes, one driver

The fort, the ocean and the hills, a week or more in each. The longer the stay, the more the staff learn how you like things.

Everything there is to do.

Every experience on this coast that we arrange, by what it is for. Any of them can join any journey.
